Enugu First Lady moves out of government house
Enugu - The wife of the Enugu State Governor, Clara Chime has been
relocated from the state government house as directed by the governor of
the state, Sullivan Chime, Vanguard reports.
Clara,
who claimed that her husband had held her hostage in the government
house against her wishes, moved out in a convoy of six vehicles to her
mother’s home at the Coal City Garden Estate on Monday.
It was
gathered that Governor Chime confined her in the government because of
the state of her health as she was said to be mentally ill and the
governor insisted she should be treated at the government house as
opposed to flying her abroad.
Human rights lawyer Femi Falana had
disclosed last week that he received a petition from Clara requesting
him to help her regain freedom from the confinement she was placed under
by her husband, an allegation Governor Chime denied.
