Draxler hints at Schalke exit, admits he is a big fan of Ozil

04′s star player Julian Draxler, has opened the door for a possible
move from Germany, after admitting that it would be a dream to play for a
big European club.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea in
the past, but ended up signing a new deal with the Bundesliga side last
summer, but in an interview with Daily Express, he revealed that he is
not rooted there.
“I owe Schalke a lot, I have always been at Schalke. I need to
emphasise this. But I ‘m not so rooted here that I could not tear myself
away,” he said.
“I can honestly say that it is my dream to play for one of the big clubs at some point.
When he was quizzed about some of the clubs that might interest him, he replied: “The big two in Spain – Real and Barcelona – Bayern and a few others from England, namely Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.”
Draxler also admitted that he is modelling himself on Germany team-mate Mesut Ozil, who moved from Real Madrid to Arsenal.
He said: “I’ve always said I’m a big fan of Mesut Ozil, who ventured abroad and developed at Real Madrid into a world-class player.
“Just to be a teammate of his [with the German national team] makes me quite proud.”
