President Jonathan visits Super Eagles training in Addis Ababa
President
Goodluck Jonathan today paid a visit to the players and officials of
the Super Eagles, as they trained in preparation for Sunday’s 2014 World
Cup play-off match against Ethiopia.
Jonathan, who was on his way from the Extraordinary Summit of the
Heads of Government of the African Union, shook hands with the squad and
coaches and delivered a pep talk before leaving.
Aminu Maigari, the President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), thanked Jonathan for taking out time to encourage the team.
“I assure you that we will be able to deliver and we will deliver. We will do our best. We have a good team. Goodluck Jonathan is the only President who haa created time amidst his tight schedule to be with the Super Eagles twice. This is the biggest motivation and we will make you proud. We will be in Brazil,” he said.
