Boko Haram attacks Kano, engages security operatives in gun battle
Reports indicate that multiple explosions and sporadic gunshots rocked
Gayawa village, Ungogo Local Government area of Kano state Tuesday
morning.
The gunmen, suspected to be members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect,
engaged security operatives in hot gun. It is feared that high casualty
may have resulted from attack, which is taking place after a significant
respite in major attacks by the dread insurgents in the ancient city of
Kano.
The latest major attack by the terror group in the city happened a few
months ago, scores were killed when Boko Haram insurgents bombed a
popular motor park.
