Agbaje to Replace Dikko as Custom’s Comptroller-General!
Findings
have revealed that the Presidency has approved a successor for Alhaji
Abdullahi Inde Dikko, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs
Service.Alhaji Dikko Inde’s term as the CG is believed to have been over as he was appointed as the CG on August 26, 2009 by the Late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua.
Street Journal’s findings revealed that Dr David Olusegun Agbaje from Ondo State may soon be announced as the new CG of the Customs Service.
Dr Agbaje who holds a PhD in English Studies had served in various capacities in the Nigeria Customs Service before he was promoted to the position of an Assistant Comptroller-General in January, 2010. He has several awards to his name including The News Magazine’s Integrity Award as well as the Comptroller-General’s award which he won when he discovered huge underpayments between 1999 and 2000.
Agbaje will be due for retirement on October 13, 2017 when he would have attained the mandatory 35 years of pensionable service
